The recipient must be 24 years or younger at the time of the application is due. You must be attending or planning to attend a college for a degree program, major, or trade specialty that will prepare you for a careers within the airline industry as well as, frontline operations, customer service and hospitality, aircraft maintenance, dispatch, engineering, flight operations; as well as corporate positions such as finance, technology, human resources, marketing, sales, and communications. DEPENDENT OF SOUTHWEST AIRLINES EMPLOYEES - AWARD UP TO $2,500
You must be an eligible dependent of a Southwest Airlines (SWA) Employee (spouses are ineligible). At the time scholarships are due, the SWA employee must be an active employee of at least two years.
Must be a high school senior or high school graduate; having received a diploma or equivalency; and
The recipient must be 24 years or younger at the time of the application is due.
Eligible dependents must attend or plan to attend an accredited vocational, community/junior college or undergraduate institution, and must be pursuing their first post-secondary degree or certificate for the upcoming academic year. (Additional requirements are within the application link).
